All members of the Institute, will
carry out their activities in such a manner, as to protect the health and safety of any
person with whom they may come into contact in the course of their professional duties and
of the community in general, while paying regard to protecting the environment.
To achieve this, members undertake to:
Provide and maintain healthy and safe work
areas in their normal places of business and to properly maintain equipment,
Review work methods and equipment in
search of improvements, in the belief that injuries and occupational illness can be
prevented.
Ensure they and their fellow staff, are
conversant with all health , safety and environmental information published by relevant
authorities.
All members are expected to follow rules
for safe a healthy operations and to point out to clients any unsafe operational hazard
which may be detrimental to protecting the environment.
The commitment to health, safety and the
environment is as important as a Member's commitment to professional business objectives.
